Interactive training on a medical instrument

Training in a medical environment is no easy task. Apart from hygienic procedures, bringing new devices into use and training them in the real world is often a major challenge. Medical instruments are generally expensive and fragile. Making mistakes is out of the question, while the device must be quickly usable.

For the introduction of the Centargo, Bayer chose to collaborate with BlueTea. This involved using VirtualStudio® our online platform for creating interactive simulations. Using gamifying tools, the trainee is clearly explained how to sell, operate or maintain the device, depending on her or his role. After the training, the knowledge is tested using a free game play and, if necessary, certified in-game.

Since VirtualStudio® does not require any programming knowledge, Bayer was able to add dozens (!) of new levels to the simulation. In addition, Bayer can now offer this simulation in more than thirty languages (in text and in speech).
